What Clueless character you are based on your zodiac sign

Clueless is celebrating its 30th anniversary on July 19, and we’re totally buggin’ about the milestone.

The movie, which stars Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd and the late Brittany Murphy, made Gen Xers and millennials feel seen in 1995 and now, it’s considered one of the best teen movies because it speaks to many.

Astrologically speaking, the motion picture is like Venus in Cancer because at its heart is tenderness like the Jane Austen book Emma it is based on

As for the film’s birth chart, Clueless just completed its Saturn Return, allowing Gen Z to discover the film and adults the chance to find new meaning in it.

When the movie hit the theaters in 1995, Mars was in Virgo — the same sign the planet is currently in. This means that after a mandatory rewatch party, we might get reflective and nostalgic for our youth and want to embrace our inner Clueless character.

Amazingly enough, the movie’s solar (when the Sun returns to the degree and sign of the premiere) and lunar (the Moon’s return to the degree and sign of the premiere) return occurs on June 19, 2025. The Sun in Cancer and Moon in Taurus speak to the film's emotional depth, humor, and sentimentality.

Are you a Cher Sun, a Miss Geist Moon or Tai Rising? Read below to find out what sign aligns with your Sun, Moon or Rising.

Aries: Melvin "Mel" Horowitz

Aries likes to fight to assert their power and authority — no one does this better than Mel Horowitz, Cher’s father and Beverly Hills litigator. Similarly to Aries, Mel argues cases for a living, allowing him to evoke his inner warrior. Beyond that, Mel pushes his daughter to have direction to anywhere but the mall, which is how Aries tries to help those they care about with tough love.

Taurus: Dionne Davenport

As Cher’s bestie and fellow high school queen, Dionne always stands by her pal and exhibits tenderness like a Taurus. D’s fashion game and loyal nature are qualities that the Venusian sign exhibits, aligning her with the Earth sign. Like D feels about Murray, Tauruses can get consumed by their romantic partnerships. Also, they remain together, through thick and thin (taking a ride on the freeway) as a Taurus would.

Gemini: Amber Mariens

The twin star has the gift of gab and duality, two qualities that Amber (or Ambular, lol) constantly exhibits. From complaining about being unable to partake in gym class to manipulating her way out of debating Cher to being messy by dating Travis, she’s unapologetically herself 24/7, similarly to the Air sign. Amber competes with Cher throughout the movie for popularity, which Geminis can achieve in terms of social status.

Cancer: Murray Duvall

Murray wants to be independent and free, but he has an attachment to his mom (he fears his mom’s reaction when he shaves his hair at the party in the Valley) and D (when he needs cash at school and affection). His on-and-off-again relationship with D and overall moody vibe are defined through the ever-changing moon. His sensitive and tender attitude aligns him with the Water sign Cancer.

Leo: Tai Frasier

Leos aim to be the center of attention. Although Tai is first introduced as the sweet transfer student, she thrives as one of the most liked students due to her friendship with Cher and D. Like the bold lion, Tai undergoes a makeover that propels her to new heights, while opening her heart to others. Tai flashes a regal attitude when her stock goes up, but maintains a fragile ego.

Virgo: Mr. Wendell Hall

Mr. Wendell Hall is such a Virgo as the debate teacher at Bronson Alcott High. For starters, he is efficient with his bookkeeping for tardiness in his class. Secondly, Mr. Hall gives positive feedback and encouragement to his students (even if their grades on the report cards do not reflect it). Finally, he is rational and intelligent and wants to inspire his students. These attributes define Virgo to the T!

Libra: Cher Horowitz

Cher believes she's responsible for two teachers falling in love (”ugh, as if!“) and tries to craft other couples. To be real and fair, she did set the action in motion. Libra is the ultimate sign of partnerships, so it makes sense that Cher connects with the Air sign. Plus, she is looking for her own boo in the process, simultaneously learning about friendships and her relationship with herself.

Scorpio: Elton Tiscia

Elton has nefarious intentions for Cher and moves on to Amber when she rejects him. All in all, his brooding and secretive energy is seemingly the same as the scorpion's. When he doesn't get his way, Elton ditches Cher in the middle of a parking lot, which leads to her mugging. Not cool. Scorpios are harsh if they want to be, and evolve into the next best situation, like Elton.

Sagittarius: Josh Lucas

Josh is a social justice warrior who wants to pursue environmental law as his profession — he’s in talks to get Marky Mark to plant a tree for awareness at college. Since Sagittarius is the sign that speaks up for causes, Joah aligns with the Fire sign. Also, his snarky remarks to Cher are the essence of the archer, who doesn’t hold back from expressing their feelings, good or bad.

Capricorn: Christian Stovitz

Christian is an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body, very reminiscent of a Capricorn sign. The sea goat is reminiscent of the past, which we see through Christian’s movie picks (Sparticus and Some Like it Hot), fashion choices and aesthetic (he drives a 1954 Nash Metropolitan and communicates like he's in the Rat Pack). Through the test of time, Christian proves to be an excellent pal to Cher, even if they do not hook up.

Aquarius: Miss Toby Geist

Miss Geist is a unique teacher — she focuses on getting her students involved in politics and humanitarian issues, like an Aquarian teacher would. Her romance with Mr. Hall needs a little push initially, since the water-bearer is aloof in matters of the heart. But, once it starts going, it becomes an integral part of her life — after all, she gets married to Mr. Hall at the end of the movie.

Pisces: Travis Birkenstock

Travis is the sweet skater boy who tries to woo Tai and eventually succeeds. His artistic talent, kindness, and generosity (he invites Tai to the party in the Valley) connect Travis with empathetic Pisces. Right off the bat, he got a good vibe about Tai and liked her upon their first interaction, proving that Travis’s intuition leads him to act similarly to how a Pisces acts when they encounter “the one.”
